Cyanmobile X For Galaxy Mini or Pop GT-S5570 Finally Becomes Stable

CyanMobile, an innovation of the developer squadzone,  is an awesome rom that combines the features of both AOSP and AOKP to provide it's users with rich features, tweaks and handy options. The latest version of this rom released yesterday by the developer is named CyanmobileX (tweaked from Cyanmobile eXperience) and is available for three different handsets viz. Samsung Galaxy Mini, Galaxy Fit and ZTE Blade Gen 2. Along with the release the developer also announced that other interested developer can port it to their handset and he'll be uploading the sources to his github soon. This is to say, Indic fonts and Devanagari script is not support anymore. Also, now there are not much choice while settings CPU frequencies like before.  While rest all seem to work fine, there's chance you'll face some lags while using your handset aggressively. In such situation you are suggested to overclock your handset by increasing Max CPU Frequency at CyanMobile Settings >> Performance >> CPU Settings to some suitable value.

Note : Those who have Gingerbread (Android 2.3 and above) can skip Step 1. Moreover, if you have any  Custom Recovery and/or  Custom Rom installed on your device then you can skip both Step 1 and Step 2.

1. Upgrade your firmware to Gingerbread using Odin Multidownloader v4.38
2. Install Clock Work Mod Recovery for Samsung Galaxy Mini/Pop.
3. Download required files and updates from below :
• Latest CyanmobileX rom : update-CyanMobile-eXperience-GalaxyMini-20120721-Release.zip
• Latest Google Apps for Gingerbread : gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip
4. Copy the downloaded files to the (root directory of) your sd-card.
5. Reboot your device to Custom Recovery (Press Home + Power Button).
6. [Optional but, Recommended] Do a Nandroid Backup of your current rom.
7. Now from recovery main menu and select Wipe Data option.
8. Confirm data wipe by selecting Yes.
9. Now flash this latest Cyanmobile eXperience rom using clockwork mod recovery. Follow these steps :
• Choose Install Zip From Sd Card option.
• Select Choose Zip From SD Card option.
• Now select update-CyanMobile-eXperience-GalaxyMini-20120721-Release.zip downloaded in step 3.
• Confirm the installation and wait till the rom is installed on you handset.
10. Flash Latest Google Apps for Gingerbread in CWM recovery.  
• Choose Install Zip From Sd Card option.
• Select Choose Zip From SD Card option.
• Now select the gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip file which you downloaded in step 3.
• Confirm the installation and wait till the zip is installed on you handset.
11. Reboot your device from your recovery main menu.

That's it. You've successfully flashed latest cyanmobileX rom on your galaxy mini/pop s5570 handset. Wait for few minutes while the system builds necessary caches and prepares your phone for normal use during the first boot. If your handset doesn't boot fine even after about 10 minutes, go back to recovery and do a data and cache wipe and reboot your system again and it should boot fine within few minutes.

It is recommend that you do a reboot once your handsets boots fine for better performance. All I can say is play well with this awesome rom and try to discover all new features and options that are available within this rom.
